Hi there, I know it's been sooo long since I last posted but I wanted to share this with all of you. I potter in and out of Crafter's Companion Forum and one of it's members Karen, has had so much to deal with in the last 2 years that lovely Wendy has decided to gather us all in to try to help. Please visit Wendy's blogspot here

and read the story. Maybe you can look at Karen's beautiful creations and help her medical fund by buying some of her designs. I have.

Back from the Inspiration Desert

Hi there, I've just spent most of the winter in the Inspiration desert. Nothing was happening in the head that is usually too full to fit anything else in and I reckon quite a lot dropped out while I was there too!! However I appear to have found my way back and I've started to play again!! This is a creation I managed to produce yesterday with some freebie images from a magazine. The papers are from various sources, my SWALK cd being one of them. The image is coloured using Promarkers and the lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Since I've just returned and taking it slowly I'd like to enter this card in the
Pixie Dust Studio-polka dots challenge

I'd also like to show you this one which was also an image from a magazine,Simply Cards and Papercraft (issue 82) The papers are from Nitwit Collections, Fall Too papers and the image is coloured again with Promarkers.
I'd like to enter this card into the Pixie Dust Studio- polka dots challenge

as it also contains polka dots.

Back for Good

I know the title sounds like a "Take That" song but I've been having such a difficult time with my lappy, it's been driving me mad! Apparently, after taking it to the doctor, it appears I had a virus! My anti-virus hadn't been working properly and it caused all sorts of weird things to happen. Anyway we're all fixed now so I thought I'd join in with WOYWW for the first time provided by Julia
As you can see, it's a bit messy but I've finished off a couple of Christmas cards made with freebie papers from a magazine and there are a couple of cards there waiting to go to thier recipients made with images from Sugar Nellie. You may be able to see "Dancing Maggie" on the green card, she is for my sister in law who is a Highland Dance teacher and is currently looking after my daughter while she is at college in Scotland. We owe her and her husband a lot.

At Long Last

For quite a few weeks now I've been having a nightmare as I've not been able to log in to my blog and therefore unable to post anything, very frustrating,I've been unable to join in with any challenges and I've missed so much.
Happily today, I seem to be able to get in and post so, for now, I'll show you this, one of my new Sarah Kay stamps which I love and hope to do more with soon.

Halfway through the holidays

Can you believe it we're halfway through the holidays already!! None of my good intentions for these six weeks have been realised...yet! There's still three weeks to go but, I can say, it's not looking very good.. Filling the freezer with meals for the winter, trying to make "different" types of bread and finishing the curtains for Eilidh's bedroom (which have been waiting for 2 years) just haven't happened.
What have I been doing? cutting allsorts on my Cricut, learning about, designing and writing my blog and making a concerted effort to get on with some crafting as well as playing with my new found toys, Promarkers. I finished this today which I made for the challenge at http://sassycherylschallenge.blogspot.com/ which this week is black, white and pink. I'll also give it a go in
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/challenge-17-anything-goes.html and
http://pixieduststudiopixiechallenge.blogspot.com/2010/08/challenge-35-pretty-in-pink.html
Hope everyone's well and have a great week whatever you're up to. Xx

Very First Post

Well here goes with my very first post so I thought I'd show you a couple of things I did yesterday. As I said, I've just discovered digital stamps and Promarkers, which I love, although I'm still getting the hang of them and, although my partner would say I had plenty of "crayons" as he calls them, I still don't feel I enough colours to shade properly.
The coffee cups are digital stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff or she's also known on her other website http://www.thefrugalcrafter.com/  The set is called Coffee Talk and all of the papers in these photos are freebies from issue 74 of Simply Cards and Paercraft from Funky Hand. I have also got some fab digital stamps from Mo Manning and the last photo is one of hers that I've coloured but I haven't done anything with.
